Tess Snyder (she/her) is an independent freelance writer specializing in content writing for blogs, promotional news articles, websites, landing pages, e-newsletters, email campaigns, press releases, slide decks, speeches, video scripts and more. During her 30-some odd years as a performing artist, marketing professional and nonprofit specialist, Tess has traveled the world, working with different cultures in the United States, Europe, Latin America, the Far East, and Australia.
Soon after her graduation from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Tess moved to New York City to pursue a career in opera. She began supporting her dream by working in the corporate world and was first hired as a secretary for Frank Russell Trust Company. Tess’ superior writing skills, creative thinking, and understanding of statistics (yes, she is good at math, too!) allowed her to quickly ascend the corporate ladder in just a few years to become the Global Institutional Marketing Director for Citigroup Asset Management – the most prominent senior marketing position in the industry at the time – while still performing professionally in contemporary operatic and chamber music off-Broadway.
After a one-year hiatus to care for her infant daughter (born just a week before the 9/11 attacks), Tess was the head of marketing for a New York law firm before moving to Southern Ohio to be closer to family. She soon found herself teaching music and drama to middle and high school students at a suburban public school before moving to the Cleveland area in 2017. Today, she writes for artists, arts organizations, social justice nonprofits, a mindfulness company and others across the country as well as writing for NEOhioLife.com.
Tess currently lives in Avon Lake, Ohio with her daughter and their feline friend, Luna. You can find out more about Tess at her website, www.artscopywriter.com.
